We are a husband and wife from Virginia. We both are outgoing and community oriented. We miss the yesteryear, when everyone sat on the front porch and chatted in the evening, like in those old movies. So here we can share an imaginary front porch with you even if you are thousands of mills away.

Among the many articles available here you will learn about things we are interested in and stuff we have tried or adventures we have yet to undertake. You will learn where we come from and how we met. You will learn about our jobs and our hobbies. I imagine that Zakieh might even share with you the nightmare I had a few weeks ago when I thought that I had forgotten her birthday! And as you read, hopefully you benefit from mistakes that we have made and save yourself the trouble. After a while you might like us enough to want to keep us from making any other mistakes! Or better yet you might want to encourage us with your comments. The upside of it all is that what ever you share with us, we in turn share with the world and this way we will all be better off for it.
